Long-distance
Taxi Lugano ↔ Zürich — fixed-fare transfer
Our private transfer links Lugano with the centre of Zürich in around 2 hours 40 minutes, covering roughly 210 kilometres door to door across the Alps. You travel in comfort with a professional driver, and the price is one fixed fare agreed before you set off — a relaxed alternative to the train.
Your journey
The drive is about 210 kilometres and takes around 2 hours 40 minutes in normal conditions. We leave Lugano on the A2 motorway and head north out of Ticino, climbing toward the Alps and passing through the San Gottardo road tunnel into the canton of Uri. From there the A2 carries on toward Zürich, joining the A4 and A14 for the final stretch into the city.
It is a comfortable long-distance alpine run, with mountain scenery for much of the way and a smooth motorway underfoot. At busy times there can be queues at the Gotthard tunnel, so we allow for them and keep you moving as steadily as the road permits — there is nothing for you to do but settle in and enjoy the view.
Vehicle & capacity
The long run to Zürich is time you can put to use, and a Mercedes-Benz V-Class seats up to six with room to spread out a laptop and a bag or two. A family or group travels together in a single car. Child seats fitted on request; step-free or assisted access arranged when you book. Luggage for a longer stay? Tell us and we'll fit it in.
At your destination
At your destination we set you down at any address in Zürich — your hotel, Zürich main station (Zürich HB), an office or a meeting, or a private home — with flexibility on the exact drop-off if your plans shift on the way. We aim to have you there punctually, with help for your luggage to the door. For the return we collect you from any Zürich address at the time you choose and bring you back to Lugano, the same fixed fare agreed in advance.
