Your journey
This is a longer run — close to 210 kilometres and around 2 hours 40 minutes. We head north from Lugano on the A2 and drive through the San Gottardo road tunnel under the Alps, then on toward Zurich and the airport at Kloten. Unlike our transfers to the Italian airports, this journey stays entirely within Switzerland, so there is no border to cross and no customs to slow you down.
The one variable is the Gotthard itself: tunnel traffic can build at peak times and on holiday weekends, so we plan a sensible buffer and keep an eye on your flight, leaving early enough that the tunnel is never a reason to miss it. At Zurich Airport we set you down right at departures, or meet you in the arrivals hall and walk you to the car.
Vehicle & capacity
It's a long drive to Zurich, and a Mercedes-Benz V-Class gives up to six passengers real legroom alongside the luggage for a long-haul flight — so a family or group rides together the whole way in one car. At the airport
At Zurich Airport we meet arriving passengers in the arrivals hall at Kloten, name sign ready, and help with the luggage out to the car. Your flight is tracked from the time you book, so an early or delayed landing simply means the driver adjusts — you are met whenever you actually arrive, at no extra charge. For departures we allow for the long drive and any Gotthard traffic, collecting you in good time to check in and drop your bags without a rush.
