Airport transfers
Taxi Lugano ↔ Linate Airport — fixed-fare transfer
Our private transfer links Lugano with Milan Linate Airport in around 1 hour 20 minutes, roughly 80 kilometres door to terminal. Linate sits just east of central Milan — the quick, convenient choice for the city. The price is one fixed fare agreed before you set off, the crossing into Italy already included.
Your journey
The drive is about 80 kilometres and takes around 1 hour 20 minutes in normal conditions. We leave Lugano on the A2 motorway, cross into Italy at Chiasso–Brogeda and continue on the A9 and A8 before reaching the airport via Milan's eastern ring road, the tangenziale est. Because Linate is so close to the city, we allow for Milan traffic on the final stretch so the timing holds. The Swiss–Italian border is part of the everyday journey: we handle the crossing routinely, and the full fixed fare we agree in advance already includes it — there is nothing extra to settle at the frontier.
Linate has a single passenger terminal, so there is no terminal choice to puzzle over — one address for both drop-off and pickup. For arrivals we park and meet you inside, so you are never left looking for the car.
Vehicle & capacity
You travel in a Mercedes-Benz V-Class, so a family or group rides together in one car — with easy room for up to six and the cabin bags of a quick Milan city break. Child seats fitted on request; step-free or assisted access arranged when you book. Bringing more than carry-on? Tell us and we'll make sure it fits.
At the airport
For arrivals at Linate we meet you in the arrivals hall — there is only one, so it is easy to find us — with a name sign, and help with your luggage to the car. We track your flight from the moment you book, and Linate's short-haul schedules move with little warning — the driver is already there and waiting whenever you actually land, and a delay never costs you extra. For departures we collect you from your door in good time for check-in and baggage drop, allowing for the border and for Milan traffic near the airport so you reach the terminal calmly.
Questions about this route
How long does the transfer from Lugano to Linate take?
The drive is about 80 kilometres and usually takes around 1 hour 20 minutes. We follow the A2, A9 and A8 motorways via Chiasso and reach the airport on Milan's eastern ring road, building in time for the border and for city traffic.
Is Linate closer to Milan than Malpensa?
Yes. Linate sits just east of central Milan and is the city's close-in airport, popular for short-haul and business flights. That makes it convenient once you land, though we still plan for Milan traffic on the final approach.

What happens if my flight is delayed?
We track your flight from the moment you book. If it lands early or late the driver adjusts and is waiting when you reach the arrivals hall — a delay never adds to your fixed fare.
Where will the driver meet me at the airport?
In Linate's single arrivals hall, with a name sign, ready to help with your luggage. For departures from Lugano we collect you at your door in good time for check-in.
